Description
A competitive analysis can be either quantitative or qualitative or a combination of both. The qualitative approach means we use a scoring method based around a motivational persona. Typically we find each persona will have questions, considerations and needs that require answering depending on that personas' motivation for being at your site. We would then compare your site and your competitors across these points in an expert analysis as to how well you answered the persona needs. The quantitative approach is to compare your site in tools such as Google trends or Compete.com to your competitors and find out how you stand, again as part of an expert analysis based around your goals.
